If the answer to any of these is yes, we'd like to invite you to take part in an immersive experience to help shape the future of dementia care and support.
Shaping the diagnosis journey
Everyone's experience of diagnosis is different, but we want to understand how we can make this journey better for those affected by dementia.
Whether you are living with dementia, care for a loved one or work in dementia services, feeling listened to, heard and valued is vital.
We need to work together to shape what services look like in the future - but to do this, we need a shared understanding of the experiences people face day in, day out.
We are inviting you to take part in an experience that will replicate a real-life scenario somebody may be facing when they are seeking a diagnosis.
Based in a simulation centre at the University of South Wales, the experience will bring together people with lived experiences and professionals to look at this scenario in real time, and develop ideas for improvement, together.
The experience may include videos, emails, and people's voices.
Those who take part will be given an activity to work on linked to a stage of the diagnosis journey. They will work on the problem and solutions together.
By doing this, we hope to create an improved journey for those seeking a diagnosis, including accessing the right care and support before and after.
